Backstory
Geraldine Oetama manages Skystar Capital as a Partner, bringing over a decade of experience in investing in technology-focused startups across the Asia Pacific region, particularly Indonesia. Under her leadership, Skystar Capital provides not only capital assistance but also tailored strategic business advice and facilitates essential partnerships to help entrepreneurs scale their businesses successfully.
Prior to joining Skystar Capital, Geraldine served as the Executive Director at Skystar Ventures, an incubation program for tech startups in collaboration with University of Multimedia Nusantara, part of Kompas Gramedia Group. She guided participants in maturing their ideas and developing their products efficiently through experiential education.
Geraldine holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies from Loyola Marymount University. Her career is distinguished by her strategic insights into marketing and branding, local market know-how, and her ability to build industry connections. She is passionate about businesses that leverage technology to address challenges and improve lives.
